1.Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh has
been officially declared a tiger reserve after receiving approval from the
Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change and the National Tiger
Conservation Authority (NTCA). This designation is a crucial step in enhancing
wildlife conservation efforts and protecting the region's tiger population. It
also aligns with sustainable development goals, promoting biodiversity
conservation in the area.

2. The Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health
Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) aims to strengthen India's healthcare system
with an outlay of ₹64,180 crore (2021-26). Key components include constructing
health & wellness centres, public health units, critical care hospital
blocks, and district labs. The mission focuses on improving healthcare
infrastructure, disaster preparedness, and public health delivery.

3. It is not uncommon for the southern peninsula to experience heavy or
very heavy rainfall during the northeast monsoon, which is also important for
Sri Lanka and Maldives. But when Cyclone Fengal crossed the coast, close to
Puducherry, on the night of November 30, neither Tamil Nadu nor Puducherry
expected the magnitude of devastation that occurred.









4. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has highlighted
the need for significantly stronger commitments to limit global warming to
1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. Current policies, if continued globally, are
expected to lead to a temperature rise of up to 3.1°C.
