Citizen Engagement in National
Development: Involving young citizens in governance initiatives—such as
supporting statistical surveys, civic
campaigns and national development programmes—can strengthen
social capital and promote active citizenship. Meaningful participation can also create greater awareness of public
institutions, enhance civic responsibility and transform youth from passive
beneficiaries into active partners in nation-building.

to expand, with the government recognising more than 55,200 startups in FY 2025–26, the
highest annual recognition since the initiative began. Further, the TEJAS initiative is promoting
grassroots entrepreneurship across districts by connecting youth, students and
first-time founders with mentorship, incubation, funding and market
opportunities.

Digital Inclusion and Technological
Empowerment: Ensuring access to digital
infrastructure, digital literacy and emerging technologies is
essential for preparing youth for the future economy. Bridging the digital divide can expand access to
education, employment, financial services and public service delivery,
