The Vice President of India, C. P.
Radhakrishnan, inaugurated the Aranmula Uthrittathi Vallamkali on the River
Pamba, highlighting the festival as a symbol of Kerala’s cultural
heritage, devotion, teamwork and timeless traditions.

Traditional Festival: Aranmula Vallamkali is associated with Onam and is held on the River
Pamba.

Sacred Association: It is closely linked with the traditional Vallasadya.

festival features beautifully decorated Palliyodams, with more than a
hundred oarsmen rowing together in rhythm.
