Among 28.72 crore listed land parcels, ULPINs have been generated for over 8.4 crore, data shows.

Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN)

  • Alternate Name: Bhu-Aadhar
  • Launch Year: 2021
  • Objective: Provide a 14-digit alphanumeric ID to each land parcel in India.
  • Part of: Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP)
  • Purpose: Modernize land records, reduce disputes, and improve transparency in land transactions.
  • Scheme Type: Central sector scheme, managed by the Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development.

Components of ULPIN

  • Includes codes for State, District, Sub-district, Village, and a Unique Plot ID.
