The Union Health Ministry is set to launch e-Sushrut@Clinic, a
Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) developed by C-DAC.
About
e-Sushrut@Clinic:
1.
A lightweight,
cloud-based Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) designed
specifically for small outpatient clinics, developed by the Centre for
Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).
2.
Objective:
To provide an affordable, user-friendly, and government-backed
digital solution for small healthcare facilities that lack access to
advanced hospital management systems.
3.
Beneficiaries:
(i)
Small outpatient clinics
(ii)
Primary Health Centres (PHCs)
(iii)
Health Sub-Centres
(iv)
Private clinics
4.
Addressing Existing Challenges:
(i)
Large HMIS platforms are
often expensive and technically complex for small clinics.
(ii)
Inefficiencies caused by manual
record-keeping and limited digital infrastructure.
