1. India ranks 6th in the world in
filing intellectual property rights.

 

2. In Tamil Nadu, three people,
including actor Ajith Kumar, actress Shobana and Nalli Kuppusamy Shetty, have
been awarded the Padma Bhushan, while 10 people, including Bharathi analyst
Seeni Viswanathan and cricketer R. Ashwin, have been awarded the Padma Shri,
making a total of 13 Padma Shri awards.

 

3. Mrithanga Vidwan Guruvayur Durai
(Arts), K. Damodharan (Cooking), Lakshmipathi Ramasubbaiyar (Literature,
Education, Journalism), M.D. Srinivas (Science, Engineering, Purisai Kannappa
Sampanthan (Arts), R. Ashwin (Sports), R.G. Chandra Mohan (Commerce and
Industry), Radha Krishnan Devasenapathy (Arts), Seeni Viswanathan (Literature
and Education), Velu Asan (Arts), P. Dakshinamoorthy (Arts) from Puducherry,
I.M. Vijayan (Sports) from Kerala, and Senior Supreme Court Advocate C.S.
Vaithyanathan (Public Affairs) from Delhi were selected for the Padma Shri
award.

 

4. The Governor presented the first
prize to Bhaskara Pandian, Tiruvannamalai District Election Officer for his
excellent work in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections the second prize to Kalaiselvi
(Kanchipuram) and the third prize to Kranthi Kumar (Coimbatore).

 

5. The President's Award has been
announced for the Chief Safety Commissioner of Southern Railways, A. Ibrahim
Sharif.

 

6. The Unified Pension Scheme (UPS)
for Central Government Employees will come into effect from April 1.

 

























7. Natarasan, who went to jail in
the anti-Hindi imposition protest, died on January 15, 1939, and Thalamuthu on
March 11. Their memorials were inaugurated by Periyar E.V.R.
