1. The Supreme Court, in Rajive Raturi v. Union of
India (2024), held Rule 15 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD)
Rules, 2017, violative of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

2. The Supreme Court held that unauthorised business
of procuring and supplying railway e-tickets is a "social crime"
which must be stopped in its tracks and criminal action should be prompt as the
national economy is affected.

The Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) of NITI Aayog, in partnership with
New Shop, launched EmpowHER Biz – Sapno Ki Udaan to train and
mentor women in retail and entrepreneurship, providing franchise opportunities
to empower women entrepreneurs.









4. Indonesia will join BRICS as the 11th member from January
2025, further expanding the bloc’s influence among emerging economies. BRICS,
an informal group of emerging nations, includes Brazil, Russia, India, China,
South Africa, and new members like Iran, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
