1. Bengaluru’s first digital population clock will be
inaugurated at the Institute for Social and Economic Change on Friday. This
clock will display real-time population estimates for both Karnataka and India.
2. India should be a part of the Regional
Comprehensive Economic Partnership and Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement
for Trans-Pacific Partnership, NITI Aayog CEO BVR Subrahmanyam said. India
pulled out of the RCEP in 2019 after entering negotiations in 2013. The RCEP
bloc comprises 10 ASEAN group members (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia,
Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Laos and Vietnam) and their six
FTA partners - China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

states-including UP-for appointing temporary DGPs.

5.Adaption gap report

November 7, 2024, UNEP released the Adaptation Gap Report 2024 titled
"Come Hell and High Water."

report urges nations to intensify their climate adaptation efforts.

It
emphasizes the need for securing sufficient finance to support adaptation
strategies.

The release comes just before the 29th Conference
of Parties (COP29) scheduled to begin on November 11, 2024.
