1.With
the fragile ecology of the Western Ghats in mind, a Union Environment Ministry
expert panel has decided that it will not grant final clearances to pumped
hydropower projects proposed in the region without site visits to ascertain
their impact on the environment.

 

2.The

acquisition of 100 Akashteer Air Defence Systems.

threats, including missile and rocket attacks.

Significance – Enable monitoring of
low-level airspace over battle areas of Indian Army, offers ability to monitor
and respond to enemy attacks in real-time, etc.

 

5.International Medical Device
Regulatory Forum

Recently, Central Drugs Standard
Control Organization under Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has
become an affiliate member of the International Medical Device Regulators Forum
(IMDRF).
