The FAO has emphasized the challenges climate change poses to India's
aquaculture and fishing industries, including declining ocean productivity and
changes in fish composition. It has called on India to implement sustainable
practices, modify fishing gear, and diversify fish species.

2.The Government of India has transformed the Public
Distribution System (PDS) through digitization and Aadhaar seeding, ensuring
transparency and accurate targeting for 80.6 crore NFSA beneficiaries.
Initiatives like e-PoS devices and the One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC)
scheme have significantly reduced leakages, while supply chain reforms enhance
foodgrain distribution across the country.

3. President
Vladimir Putin signed a revised nuclear doctrine declaring that a conventional
attack on Russia by any nation that is supported by a nuclear power will be
considered a joint attack on his country.







4. The
Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament, and Development for 2023 was
presented to classical pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim and Palestinian
peace activist Ali Abu Awwad.
