1. The 7th annual World Air
Quality Report 2024 ranked Chad, Bangladesh, and Pakistan as the most polluted
countries, with Delhi being the most polluted capital. Byrnihat, Assam, India,
was the most polluted metropolitan area, while Oceania was the cleanest region
globally.
2. The Aeronautical
Development Agency (ADA) successfully test-launched the ASTRA missile, a Beyond
Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM) developed by DRDO. With a
range of 80-110 km and a maximum speed of Mach 4.5,
it enhances India's defense capabilities.
