1. Sahitya
Akademi is organizing Asia’s largest literature festival, the Festival of
Letters, in New Delhi, featuring over 700 writers and a focus on Indian
Literary Traditions. The Akademi, established in 1954, is an autonomous body
under the Ministry of Culture promoting literary dialogue and preserving
literature in 24 Indian languages.

2. The Supreme
Court has directed the Forest Research Institute (FRI) to conduct a tree census
in the Taj Trapezium Zone to protect the Taj Mahal from pollution. The zone
includes three UNESCO World Heritage Sites and is regulated by the Taj
Trapezium Zone Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority.

3. In 2024, the World Bank and
African Development Bank launched Mission 300 to provide electricity to 300
million people in Sub-Saharan Africa by 2030. India's success in achieving 100%
electrification by 2021 offers valuable lessons for Africa in overcoming energy
access challenges.











4. ISRO
recently conducted the Power Head Test Article (PHTA) on a semi-cryogenic
engine (SE2000) to validate critical subsystems for future space missions. The
semi-cryogenic engine, using liquid oxygen and kerosene, enhances thrust and
payload capacity while being safer than traditional cryogenic engines.
