PM announces passing of Delhi Declaration on Civil Aviation

  • Adoption: Formalized during the conference's conclusion on September 12, 2024.
  • Purpose: Provides a framework for regional cooperation, addressing aviation challenges, and fostering sustainable growth in Asia Pacific's civil aviation sector.
  • Participants: Delegates from 29 countries and 8 international organizations, including the ICAO (celebrating its 80th anniversary).

  • Women in Aviation: India’s female pilot percentage at 15%, higher than the global average (5%).

Sustainability Initiatives: "Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam" campaign, with 80,000 saplings planted to mark ICAO’s 80 years.
