over 14,500 schools across the country.
■ This initiative focuses on enhancing selected existing schools managed
by the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, and local
bodies.
Significance:

The
scheme will implement all components of the National Education Policy 2020,
serving as model schools and offering mentorship to nearby schools.
●
These
schools will prioritize not only high-quality teaching and cognitive
development but also the creation of holistic, well-rounded individuals with
essential 21st-century skills.
●
The
pedagogy will be experiential, holistic, integrated, play/toy-based,
inquiry-driven, discovery-oriented, learner-centered, discussion-based,
flexible, and enjoyable.
●
There
will be a strong focus on ensuring proficiency in learning outcomes for every
child in every grade.
●
Assessments
at all levels will be competency-based, emphasizing conceptual understanding
and the application of knowledge to real-life situations.
●
These
schools will feature modern infrastructure, including labs, smart classrooms,
libraries, sports equipment, and art rooms, ensuring inclusivity and
accessibility.
●
Additionally,
these schools will be developed as green schools, promoting water conservation,
waste recycling, energy-efficient infrastructure, and the integration of an
organic lifestyle into the curriculum.
