Snow events of 4th Khelo
India Winter Games in Gulmarg
What's
in the news?

Owing to a dry winter and a parched
Gulmarg, the first chapter of the games featuring two ice sports events -- Ice
Hockey and Ice Skating -- were held in Leh from February 2.
●
The authorities reviewed preparations
ahead of the events to be held at the popular ski resort in Baramulla from
February 21 to 25.
Khelo
India Winter Games:

Part
of Khelo India Mission under the Ministry
of Youth & Sports Affairs.

Recently, the 4th edition took place in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir
and the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Venue:
●
Its first part will be held in Ladakh from 2-6 February.
●
Its second part will be in Jammu and Kashmir from 21-25 February.

– Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (New Delhi)
Objective:

To give importance to all types of Olympic sports and produce a feeder
channel of talented sportspersons who can shine for India at the highest levels
of sporting excellence.
