News: FAO provides fund to support vulnerable Sri Lankan households

 

What's in the news?

       1.4$ million, the amount provided by the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) to about 15,000 vulnerable households in Sri Lanka hit by the ongoing economic crisis to overcome the shortage of food and other commodities, the UN agency informed.

       This was in addition to over 47,609 families being granted over 2,300tonnes of fertilizer by the FAO.
