It covers hybrid and electric technologies like a strong hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles.

Four focused areas:

  1. Technology development
  2. Demand creation
  3. Pilot projects
  4. Charging infrastructure.

FAME 2.0:

The second phase is an expanded version of the first phase. FAME India Phase II has a total outlay of Rs 10000 Crores over the period of three years from 1st April 2019 to 2022.
