To commemorate the 50th
anniversary of its founding and to observe World Environment Day, The Bureau of
Energy Efficiency (BEE) and the Collaborative Labeling and Appliance Standards
Program (CLASP), an international non-governmental organization organized a
"Conference on Consumer-Centric
Approaches for E-cooking Transition" in New Delhi.
Key takeaways from the conference:

BEE said that once all
the people have electricity access, then by 2030 e- cooking facilities can be
given to all the households by the Government.
●
The focus on electric
cooking is based on the recognition that e-cooking is a key pathway to Mission
LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), an India-led global mass movement to nudge
individual and community action to protect and preserve the environment.
