1. The Gyan Bharatam Mission, announced in the Union
Budget 2025-26
, aims to survey, document, and digitize over one crore manuscripts to revive India's
manuscript heritage, with a significant budget increase from
₹3.5
crore to ₹60 crore

digital availability
of ancient knowledge in over 80 scripts, strengthening
India's intellectual legacy.
