1.The Durgesh Aranya Zoological Park is set to be
the first zoo in India to gain certification from the Indian Green
Building Council (IGBC). This certification marks the park’s commitment to
sustainable and eco-friendly practices. Located in Bankhandi, Kangra
district,Himachal Pradesh.

2.The
Sun is crucial for life on Earth, yet we know little about it. Solar storms can
disrupt satellites and technology. India is addressing this gap by establishing
the National Large Solar Telescope (NLST) in Ladakh. This project, led by
Professor Annapurni Subramaniam, aims to enhance our understanding of solar
activity.

3. The
United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) reported recently that
poor households globally lose an average of 5% of their total income each year
due to heat stress and 4.4% due to floods, in contrast to relatively better-off
households.

4. A new study says
scientists have discovered a “black hole triple” in space for the first time.
The system comprises a black hole at its centre, currently in the process of
consuming a small star spiralling very close to it. There is also a second
star, which appears to be circling the black hole but is actually far away.













5. India
and Albania held bilateral consultations in Tirana yesterday. During the
consultations, both sides undertaken a comprehensive review of bilateral,
regional, and international issues. Bilateral discussions included political
relations, trade, cultural relations, and people-to-people contacts.
