Recently, Union Minister for New
and Renewable Energy, launched the Green Hydrogen Certification
Portal of India (GHCI) to facilitate transparent certification and
regulatory compliance under the Green Hydrogen Certification Scheme of
India.
About Green Hydrogen Certification Portal of India
(GHCI)
1.
GHCI is an online platform launched by the
Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) to enable the certification,
monitoring, and verification of green hydrogen production across the
country.

It enables transparent certification of hydrogen produced
from renewable energy in accordance with prescribed emission
standards.
3.
GHCI operates through a four-stage certification mechanism
consisting of Concept, Facility-Level, Provisional, and Final Certificates.
4.
Green Certification - It is neither transferable nor
eligible for carbon credit claims.
5.
Producers must obtain independent verification through Accredited
Carbon Verification (ACV) agencies recognized by the Bureau of Energy
Efficiency (BEE)
