ISRO to launch PSLV-C56
carrying Singapore's new imaging satellite
What's
in the news?
●       The
Indian Space Research Organisation announced that the PSLV-C56 carrying
Singapore's DS-SAR satellite will be launched on July 30 from Sriharikota.
DS-SAR
Satellite:
●       The
DS-SAR satellite that weighs 3600 kg was developed by DSTA, representing Singapore's Government and ST Engineering.
●       The
satellite would be launched into a Near
Equatorial Orbit (NEO) at 5degree inclination and 535 km altitude.
●       DA-SAR
Satellite carries a Synthetic Aperture
Radar (SAR) payload developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). 
●       This
allows the DS-SAR to provide for all-weather
day and night coverage, and capable of imaging at 1m-resolution at full polarimetry.
